Baja Cantina - authentic Mexican food in the heart of East Belfast

Unfortunately, Baja Cantina will be closing temporarily on Saturday 16th August. We hope to reopen in January 2015 so keep your eyes peeled for updates on that. The good news is that we'll be returning to St. George's market on Saturdays from now on, so you can still get your fix of fresh, delicious Mexican! Our last day of trading in Ballyhackamore (for now) will be on Saturday 16th August, so come on down and help make it a fantastic blow-out final weekend!

Baja Taqueria specializes in Sonoran and Baja style Mexican tacos from the southwestern US (Arizona and California). Our tacos and burritos include shrimp, salmon, beef, chicken, pork and vegetarian served with all fresh ingredients. Our gluten free, soft corn tacos are deliciously refreshing and made fresh in our kitchen.

As well as dine in and take out, we now offer a delivery service from 5.00 pm to 8.45 pm on Fridays and Saturdays only. Check out our menu and call 02890 473 339 to place an order. We deliver within a 2 mile radius and there's a charge of �1.50 per delivery.

The owner is a native of Mesa, Arizona featuring Baja and Sonoran style Mexican food from the Sonoran (Arizona) and Baja (California) regions of Mexico. Various styles of meat preparation in burritos and tacos have influenced taste for the best flavours in Mexican food never leaving you hungry.

Taqueria is literally a small taco shop (shack/joint/dive) creating and serving traditional Mexican tacos. Originating from Mexico City, taco stands are now common throughout Mexico and the U.S. More recently restaurants are picking up the Taqueria theme and serving burritos, tacos and traditional Mexican food such as tamales, chimichangas and empanadas etc. Mexican food is regionally specific, so when in Arizona or California you will be served Sonoran and Baja style Mexican. Traditional Mexican tacos and burritos are served on soft corn tortillas with grilled or slow roasted meat, salsas and a lime on the side.

No preservatives, just fresh Mexican all the time.
